Port Aransas beach trip- Days 3 and 4

Day 3- On Thursday we got up and had a yummy breakfast and packed the car to head to the beach! It was not as hot on the beach so we did a lot of playing in the sun. Brandon, Lyndsey and TJ all tried out the boogie boards! There were some good waves and they had a great time. Lyla had Papa busy digging "pools" for her on the beach with his army shovel! She would get in the hole he dug as the water came in and swim around! We dealt with the car getting stuck in the sand a couple of times we finally got out thanks to a little help from everyone! We got home from the beach and cleaned up all of our toys and the cars. We had a chips, queso and sandwiches for lunch and Lyla went down for her nap. We relaxed in the air conditioning for awhile and then headed to the pool with rafts to lounge on and a cooler full of cold beer. Nana and Papa even came out and played cards at the picnic tables. We all headed inside after Lyla woke up and went for a quick swim. Bubbie wanted to make Beer Butt Chicken...except we were out of beer, so it was Sprite Butt Chicken! It was very tasty! TJ, Lyndsey, Lyla and I pretended to be tourists and went to a Beach Shop to look for t-shirts! It was interesting to see what was going on in town. After dinner we tried to find a movie to watch but could not agree so we just settled on regular TV, complete with "Gangster of the Week" on the ghetto Corpus news! We headed to bed after Conan and began the packing process.
Day 4- We woke up and decided to pack up and head out early. We crossed the water on the ferry in search of a place to have breakfast. We settled on Dennys in Corpus and enjoyed a cup of coffee! We headed back to Austin around 11:00am. Our trip was full of fun and family time! We can't wait to visit the Texas Gulf Coast again!
Pictures coming soon!

What do you mean ghetto Corpus news?! That's my hometown, chick! You should go into the city, but you'd be afraid and have to lock your doors!
