Baby Belly pics...

Lyla was "shopping" in the kitchen with a baby in her tummy. I think Daddy helped her put her woobie under her shirt so she could have a baby in her tummy too!

I will regret posting these pictures some day but I feel I need to chronicle this pregnancy also! Oh boy! 23 weeks and 6 days! HUGE!!

Cowboy Day

Last week in Lyla's class they learned about Cowboys. They had Cowboy day and everyone dressed up! They had such a great time riding their horses around school and roundin' up their friends!

Valentine's Day...

Lyla was sick on Valentine's Day...again this year! Poor kid! We got her a kite and a new soccer ball for the special day! She will begin playing soccer on March 20th in a league with her best friend Nolan! She was practicing in the back yard after she opened her gift!

Outbreak...

It all started last weekend when Lyla began running a fever on Saturday night! She spent the evening with Nana and Papa so TJ and I could go out for Valentine;s day. Nana started running a fever that morning but didn't think much of it. I don't blame Nana for passing her illness on to Lyla...at that point. Lyla had been coughing and cranky which usually means she's getting sick. So she ran a fever from Saturday night until Monday night. TJ stayed home with her on Monday and I stayed home for fever free day on Tuesday. In the meantime Nana had gone to the doctor and been diagnosed with the Flu (type A). I thought, no big deal, we had the flu shot! So, Lyla and I took lunch to Nana on Tuesday.

By Wednesday night I was feeling yucky! Then Papa went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Flu A! Oh great! By Thursday morning I was running a low grade fever but stayed on top of it, with the advice of my OB, by taking Tylenol 'round the clock!

On Thursday afternoon I picked Lyla up, after I had made my sub plans and straighten up my classroom. I also had a doctor's appointment scheduled for 8:20pm. I still had every intention of trying to make it through Friday. WRONG!! Lyla and I went to Krispy Kreme to get an after school snack and she wanted me to carry her! She was HOT! Oh no! I had my handy dandy thermometer in my purse so I quickly assessed the situation! 100.8! WHAT!! Not again.

So, I called the pediatrician and they wanted me to bring her in at 6pm. So, I got a sub and planned to stay home. Lyla's doctor was perplexed when her flu swab came back postive for Flu A and she had a repeat fever, so she got Tamiflu and an antibiotic. I went to the doctor later that night and they did the swab but my test came back negative. The doctor gave me a perscription for Tamiflu anyway!

When TJ came up to bed that night he said he was starting to feel yucky! Sure enough he woke up and felt terrible. He did not have a flu shot so he took himself to the doctor after being at work for an hour. Sure enough, Flu A! So we all stayed glued to the couch on Friday and today! Hopefully this will be over soon! It's not fun having every person in your house sick and being pregnant!! So when we're stuck inside with nothing to do...we bake!!!

The mess...

Last week a friend's child spent the night with us. When we were getting his little bed ready he said, "Hey, why do I have to sleep in the attic??" He was not sleeping in the attic. He was sleeping in what will be Lily's room. So, that made me think...I need to take pictures as we make progress on baby girl #2's room! We are going to get her things to give her her own space but I absolutely loved Lyla's baby bedding so we are going to reuse it in Lily's room. She will have a different wall color and different curtains. I will probably have to buy her a toddler quilt of her own because Lyla still sleeps with hers. Wow, two little girls!! This is going to be fun!!!

Snowstorm 2011

Wow, the weather people are dramatic!! Here in Round Rock we got about 2 inches of snow. Barely enough to cover the grass. There was enough to go play in! T.J. got Lyla dressed to go outside after she noticed it was a "snow day." She was so excited! I was still in bed, thanks to the recorded phone call at 5am stating the school closing! Needless to say we all got bundled up and headed outside around 7:30am. We enjoyed chatting and playing with the neighbors in the snow!

Lyla was sad when she noticed the snow was going away around 12 o'clock today! I reminded her that the sun was coming out and the snow would melt! She insisted that it must be spring!!!

Liliana Olivia...

Today we went to the doctor for our 20 week anatomy sonogram! The sonographer measures all of the babies organs and makes sure everything is functioning well! It's also the appointment when you find out if your having a boy or girl. We're having a girl! Liliana Olivia Caballero is developing normally and weighs around 12 ounces now! We are expecting her to arrive in June!

Naturally, when we began thinking of names for this little one we asked Lyla what she thought. When I asked her if she thought her "sister baby" should be named Lily she said, "Yup, I will call her Lily-bee!" So, Lyla sealed the deal!
I posted a belly picture! I was very hesitant to do this because I definitely don't have the cute little pregnant belly! It's out of hand already!!!!
