Thanksgiving with the Hoffman's

This year Nana wanted to attempt a Christmas card photo. Here's our options! Seeing as I only took 86 pictures we were lucky to get three options. Of course, our little family of 3 1/2 did not get a photo deemed worthy of printing and sending to all. We'll try again next weekend!

Trick or Treat...

Lyla chose her own Halloween costume this year! She was a "good" witch! She got to wear her costume to school on Friday to trick or treat with her friends. She also got to wear it Saturday night to a Halloween party at her best friend's, Nolan, house. On Sunday we went to Ms. Kelly's house for a Halloween Open House. She was so happy to see her friend's from Ms. Kelly's. To end the Halloween evening she had a case of yucky tummy bug. So, we stayed close to home and just trick or treated at our neighbor's houses. She sure did make a cute witch!

News...

We found out on October 9th that Lyla is going to be a big sister! She says she wants a "sister baby" but last night she told me she was going to hold her baby brother like a "kitty". We'll see!!!

"May I be up-cused, please?"

Today we finally got a chance to do a 3 year old photo shoot. Papa and I took Lyla down to the Zilker Botanical Gardens for a little exploring. We didn't even get one quarter of the way around the garden before we pooped out. Here are so of the moments I caught! Still can't believe she's 3!

Lyla's first day of school...

Lyla started TWC (Together We Can) at my school on Monday! She's such a big girl. She has a back pack, a "nap nap" (nap mat) and a lunch box!! She even tried to wear her big back pack into school today. She almost fell backward!!

She will need some time to adjust but here are so pictures of her first day! Day 1: Cried! Day 2: Cried and held onto me!

*Update as of 8/22/2010

Day 3: No crying, but Ms. Bandi had to hold her!
Day 4: No crying, and she walked in all by herself! Then, Ms. Michelle held her!
Day 5: No crying, walked in on her own, hung up her backpack then ran to me to give smooches and hugs!
