VBS...
Lyla participated in Vacation Bible School this past week at our church. Her friend Nolan went with her. They enjoyed singing songs, playing on the playground and watching skits! Her favorite song on the CD we got she calles, "The Rolls". Lyla: "Ya know, the bread song!"
Me: "You mean 'Christ Arose'?"
Lyla: "Yes, the rolls song!"
Family Pool time!
Today (May 20th) we all went to our neighborhood pool! It was Lily's first time this summer. She went last summer but she just laid in the stroller. I put her yellow polka dot bikini on her! She looked adorable! Lyla wore her ba-kini too! Lily loved the water! She splashed around, crawled in the shallow area and floated on her tummy. She even put her face in the water a few times! Hopefully she won't develop any water phobias!

7 years...
Today TJ and I celebrate our 7th anniversary! This morning as his alarm went off so did mine, Lily! I got up with her and he got ready for work! As I headed back to bed he sweetly wished me a Happy Anniversary! I wish we both could have gotten back in bed and slept until noon! Never fear, Lily had no intentions of going back to sleep!
I made blueberry pancakes for Lily and I. Then sat down to drink my coffee! TJ had posted this on facebook, "Happy Anniversary to the love of my life. Thanks Erin for making the last 7 years of my life amazing. I love you!"
Later, after Lily went down for a morning nap, I posted, "When we met I got a feeling, could he be "the one"? Seven years later I still have that feeling! I love you T.J. Caballero! Happy Anniversary!"
In the usual spirit of our anniversary we pick a new resturant to try. We always choose one that we wouldn't typically go to on a date night. $$$ Last night we decided that going to see a movie and having dinner was the kind of anniversary date we wanted to have this year! We will enjoy every minute together! Our love is a love that lasts!

Happy Birthday to Lily!
This morning when you woke up mommy grabbed the camera and snapped some happy pictures of you waking up on your first birthday! You are so happy to see me when you wake up! I love your sweet smile and how you bounce up and down in your crib before I pick you up!
After we woke up and told you happy birthday we put some clothes on and headed to Nana and Papa's house for breakfast. Uncle Bubbie, Aunt Lyndsey and Ella were heading back to Arizona! In just one short year they will be here close to us! We took a very informal family picture before they left for the airport! We will miss them so much!
Then we headed home for a nap while mommy cleaned the floors downstairs! After a very short nap we ate some lunch and got ready to go to the pool. We put your swimsuit on and coated you in sunscreen. You kept your hat on so well today! Yay! You really liked crawling, well bear crawling, around the pool. When we got home we tried to lay you down for another nap but a stinky diaper kept you from sleeping. So...we had your one year photo shoot. Daddy feel asleep on the couch in the middle of it! Thank goodness your cousin, Brooke, is spending the weekend with us and she helped mommy! After smiling your prettiest it was time for a late afternoon nap! While you slept mommy went to get your birthday present. Daddy and I decided to start a James Avery Charm Bracelet for you. Today I got the bracelet and a Happy Birthday Charm that we will have "1st birthday 2012" engraved on the back. Every year on your birthday we will add a new charm. When you are old enough you will be able to wear it! What a fun tradition!
After mommy got home we had dinner! Grilled chicken is not your favorite. After dinner Nana and Papa came over for presents and Ice Cream! We sang Happy Birthday to you and Lyla helped you blow out your candle. You took one little lick of icing and decided cake is not for you! Oh well! You did enjoy sharing Ice Cream with Papa and Mommy! After that we gave you a bath and got your toothfairy jammies on! When we went downstairs you got to open your birthday present from Nana and Papa! You liked the ribbon the best and you did try to rip the paper! Daddy helped you unwrap your Laugh and Learn Train! You bounced up and down on your bottom and sang with the train song! You like to sing along to any song! After Nana and Papa left it was time for bed! We rocked until you were almost asleep! I layed you down in your bed. You cuddled your baby and your taggie as I covered you with your woobie! I shut the door to your room and thought, "What a wonderfully, perfect first birthday!"

The night before you turn 1...
Dear Sweet Liliana Olivia,
One year ago we were making sure our bags were packed. We made sure we had everything you would need. We put the finishing touches on your nursery. We were ready! You came into our little family and have warmed our hearts with joy and love ever since. As we celebrated your birthday with all of our friends and family today, I thought about how one year ago we were anticipating what you would be like. What you would look like? What color eyes you would have and what color your hair would be? Would you sleep? Would you cry? Would you look like your sister?
Today we had a fantastic Ice Cream Shop birthday party for you! Mommy and Aunt Lyndsey make you a Smash cake and ice cream cone cake pops. It was perfect! You looked adorable in your swing top and ruffly booty panties! You let everyone hold you and wish you happy birthday! (P.S. your daddy just killed a scorpion in the kitchen! While I was typing) Ok, back to you...Momo and Popo brought a cake from our favorite bakery in New Braunfels. Nana and Papa brought veggies and fruit! Uncle Bubbie (Brandon), Aunt Lyndsey and Ella stayed to celebrate with us! Ella bear loved seeing everyone and playing with the other babies.
Tonight as I layed you down in your crib, you were exhausted! You rocked with me until you fell asleep, just like we do every night. I looked down at you and thought, "tonight I put you to bed as an 11 month old, tomorrow you will wake up and be one year old." I looked down at you curled up in your crib with your woobie and my heart swelled with love! You are my sunshine! Daddy and I love you so much and we're so blessed to have you as our daughter!
Love, Mommmy
