Lily's Birthday!!!

It's 4:47am, I've had 4 1/2 hours of sleep and I can't wait!!! Lyla spent the night at Nana and Papa's so she didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn with us! We will leave for the hospital around 6:30am. So, I'm going to take a shower and get ready...yes, get ready! I figure this time around I might as well look nice! We can't wait to see who Lily looks like and how much she weighs!
TJ gave me a beautiful new watch to commemorate this event! It's gorgeous! He's so sweet to think about doing something special for me! My girls are so lucky to have such a great Daddy!
We will post pictures as soon as possible!

Tomorrow is the day!!

Tomorrow morning we will check in at the hospital at 7am for a 9:30am c-section. I've packed Lyla's overnight bag that she will take to Nana and Papa's and my bag is ready to go! I've got baby clothes (for pictures, of course), blankets, pacies and big sister surprises! I just can't believe tomorrow at this time I will have two girls!!

Patience...

I don't have a whole lot! I'm not a patient person so, the "waiting for baby" thing is super difficult for me! So, I think I'm going to give myself a project. Post something everyday! Today I am going to post pictures of Lyla's last soccer game. The kids got a trophy and had a little pizza party next to the field. We're still not sure if soccer is Lyla's sport but she participated more and more as the season progressed. Here are some pictures from the field!

Drama...

So, this week has been interesting! On Monday I felt awful most of the day. I chalked it up to a case of the Mondays and not enough sleep. When I picked Lyla up we headed straight home to relax on the couch. At first I thought, "I'm just not comfortable in my jeans!" So, I put on some extra roomy pajama pants and laid down on the couch. It didn't help. As I laid there I started to put two and two together. I feel terrible, I feel my belly starting to squeeze me to death and I feel a lot of pressure down below! Uh oh! So, I started timing the squeezy feelings. Three to five minutes apart. I started feeling them in my back too! So, I called T.J. to tell him, "I think I'm having contractions". Of course he said call the doctor. So, I called the after hours line because it was 5pm by then. After I was put on hold for 10 minutes I finally told someone my story. The nurse from the doctors office called shortly after that and said, "You're only 33 weeks pregnant, Go ahead and head down to the hospital. I will tell Labor and Delivery you are on the way." So, I called my mom and told her what was going on. They came over. Nana stayed with Lyla and Papa drove me to the hospital to meet T.J. Once we got up to the floor the nurses took me to a triage room. I changed into a lovely hospital gown and got hooked up to the monitors. Sure enough I was having regular contractions. About every 1 1/2 minutes. They were getting stronger. They did a little test to see if I was truely in labor, it was negative but they still needed to stop the contractions. The doctor came and and said, "Congratulations, you've won a ticket to Labor and Delivery tonight!" The IV went in and the meds started flowing. The contractions calmed down after a dose to stadol. I got a dose of steroids to mature the baby's lungs just in case the contractions didn't stop. They did and I was able to rest. I spent the next 24 hours hanging out on the L and D floor and waiting to see what happened. Needless to say my doctor put me on bed rest for the rest of my pregnancy. I need to try to make it to 35 weeks, 8 more days! We'll see what little Lily has in mind for us!

Hoppy Easter!

This morning we were awoken to screaming just outside our bedroom door. "Mommy, Mommy, the Easter Bunny came and brought me candy!" The next question out of her mouth, "Can I eat it?" At least she asked. I took some early morning pictures of egg hunting and basket looking. Then once we were ready for church we took a few outdoor shots! Happy Easter everyone!

Lily's Room...

Well, I may not make my May 1st deadline of being completely ready for this baby but I'm gonna try! TJ painted her room over Spring Break, March 11th-ish. He put together the crib and I organized the closet and the dresser and chest of drawers. We hung the curtains, which came about a week after we painted. I still need to find things to hang on the walls but otherwise we are getting close to calling it finished!

Soccer...

Lyla's first soccer game was March 20th. She was super excited to begin the season. As soon as she figured out what was going on she decided soccer may not be for her. She participates in practice but likes to watch the game from the sidelines. I took tons of pictures at the first practice/game. She's had 3 games since the first one and is still only part way "in to it." Today was soccer pictures so I will post those as soon as they come in!
