Snowstorm 2011

Wow, the weather people are dramatic!! Here in Round Rock we got about 2 inches of snow. Barely enough to cover the grass. There was enough to go play in! T.J. got Lyla dressed to go outside after she noticed it was a "snow day." She was so excited! I was still in bed, thanks to the recorded phone call at 5am stating the school closing! Needless to say we all got bundled up and headed outside around 7:30am. We enjoyed chatting and playing with the neighbors in the snow!

Lyla was sad when she noticed the snow was going away around 12 o'clock today! I reminded her that the sun was coming out and the snow would melt! She insisted that it must be spring!!!

Liliana Olivia...

Today we went to the doctor for our 20 week anatomy sonogram! The sonographer measures all of the babies organs and makes sure everything is functioning well! It's also the appointment when you find out if your having a boy or girl. We're having a girl! Liliana Olivia Caballero is developing normally and weighs around 12 ounces now! We are expecting her to arrive in June!

Naturally, when we began thinking of names for this little one we asked Lyla what she thought. When I asked her if she thought her "sister baby" should be named Lily she said, "Yup, I will call her Lily-bee!" So, Lyla sealed the deal!

I posted a belly picture! I was very hesitant to do this because I definitely don't have the cute little pregnant belly! It's out of hand already!!!!

Sick weekend...

So, I'm two weeks behind in posting a weekly picture! I told you! Once I go back to work things don't get done!

I'm posting a picture of Lyla and her friend McKenna playing in the leaves her daddy was raking! Keep in mind, this is Texas so the event happened on New Years Day!

This year, 2011...

This year one of my good friends, who by the way is a fantastic photographer, is resolving to post a picture for each day of the year. Yup, 365. While, I will enjoy looking at her photo's, I am not that ambitious! My resolution is to keep up with my blog. I eventually want to have my blog made into a book for each year, or 6 months, that I've written and posted pictures. This is becoming my new scrapbooking obsession. I always start off strong, when I'm not working, then it fizzles out! So, I promise to post, at least, once a week, a photo from our lives. I will begin today by posting pictures I took yesterday of Lyla and the belly, 16 weeks pregnant! Honestly, this year it will mostly be my precious and the new baby. So, sit back and enjoy! It's gonna be a great year!!

Happy New Year!!!

We had some friends over for New Year's Eve and celebrated by snacking on yummy food all night, making non-alcoholic beverages (two of us were/are pregnant) and playing Cranium! We had a great time. Lyla was sad that none of her friends came but she was content telling the adults "Happy New Year" and watching a movie in her bed! We hope and wish that 2011 brings many blessings for you and your family. 2011 in the Caballero household is gonna be great!!!
