Friday's Photo Bliss...a tad bit late!

Lyla's first day of school...

Lyla started TWC (Together We Can) at my school on Monday! She's such a big girl. She has a back pack, a "nap nap" (nap mat) and a lunch box!! She even tried to wear her big back pack into school today. She almost fell backward!!

She will need some time to adjust but here are so pictures of her first day! Day 1: Cried! Day 2: Cried and held onto me!

Day 3: No crying, but Ms. Bandi had to hold her!

Day 4: No crying, and she walked in all by herself! Then, Ms. Michelle held her!

Day 5: No crying, walked in on her own, hung up her backpack then ran to me to give smooches and hugs!

End of Summer...

Today Lyla and I made our annual pilgrimage to Build-a-Bear! She chooses a bear it's accessories! She found a panda bear today! This is a little something we do together to commenorate our summer! Today she wasn't too into it until it came to putting the heart in her panda! She loved that part! She was very excited about naming her panda, "Panda Pajama" as we made the birth certificate. After she woke up from her nap this afternoon she was calling her panda "Patty". Who knows what she will settle on?!?!

Lunch with Daddy!

They have a vacuum!

After our adventure to the mall, we stopped by Jersey Mikes and grabbed sandwiches for lunch and headed south to have lunch with daddy. Lyla loves to visit her daddy's "work". She likes eating at the big table, seeing the vacuum, (geesh!), and seeing all the people daddy works with.

Now we are home enjoying a peaceful afternoon before Mommy goes back to work on Monday and Lyla starts school. She will be going to a program at Mommy's school called Together We Can. She will ride to school with mommy and home from school! We'll have lots of together time!

"G" man

This summer I did a swap with my friend Melanie. I watched her son Greyson so she could have time to work on her photography stuff and I get credit for a session/pictures!! She's a great photographer and we've used her a couple of times!!

The best part about it is that Greyson and Lyla will be in the same class this year at school so she will already know friends her in class!!

Fun in the sun...

Today we spent a relaxing day at Schlitterbahn with TJ's family! Lyla played with Brooke and Momo while the rest of us (Popo, Cindy, TJ and I) went to ride the Raging River ride. Lyla loved the kid's pool area with slides!! She would go down the slide over and over! We took her in the wave pool! She wasn't too sure about it at first but once we got in a tube she would say, "whoa mommy, here comes a big wave!"

We enjoyed our picnic lunch and tried to get Lyla to relax on a lounge chair but as soon as she saw mommy and daddy go floating by she wanted to get in too! Again, we got in a tube and I told her, "This is your nap time so lay your head down and close your eyes!" She was asleep in 3.4 seconds!!! She slept and we floated along on the lazy river! When she woke up we played on more slides for a little bit then we headed home!

P.S. Lyla is obsessed with the jets at the pool and yes, she knows where they ALL are at Schlitterbahn!

Inspiration...

So, I was perusing my blog update page (dashboard) and found something great! "A Moment!" On the Soule Mama blog (http://www.soulemama.com/soulemama/) she's posted a picture of something that touches her soul from that week! Just a picture, no words! It's a great idea, especially when you consider how fast our babies grow!
