Welcoming baby Max!

Last weekend we flew on an airplane for a "Mommy/ Daughter weekend". We stayed with mommy's friend Meaghan who is expecting her first baby on September 11th. She is having a little boy and they are going to name him Max. I got to sleep in Max's room while we visited with Meaghan and Matt. I also got to meet my new friends Cooper and Chase. They are 4 month old twins that belong to mommy's friends, Melissa and Danny. I liked playing with Cooper on the floor. I also made Chase cry when I screamed my high pitch scream. I also made progress on learning how to crawl while I was at Meaghan's house. On Friday after we arrived I got on my hands and knees and crawled one little crawl!! Watch out world, here I come!

We went to Meaghan's baby shower at a cool little wine bar in downtown Tulsa on Saturday afternoon. We got to see a lot of people we haven't seen in a long time. Mommy's friend Audrey got to hold me and play with me. Baby Max got so many cool things, what a lucky baby! After Meaghan's baby shower we went to Mommy's favorite restaurant in Tulsa, The Hideaway! They have the best pizza and the 50/50, half fried mushrooms and half mozzarella sticks!! Yum!

We ended our weekend at brunch with Melissa, Cooper and Chase, Matt and Meaghan. I took a good nap before we headed to the airport to fly home to see daddy! When he came to pick us up at the airport he brought my jingle ball! It's my favorite toy right now! I missed my Daddy!

Summer Fun...

We began swimming lessons with Ms. Kristin and Nolan and Ms. Jenn and Emily. We love playing in the water and even kicking our legs. We are working on floating on our back and learning to hold our breath! Lyla is a little fish!

We have had a lot of fun adventures so far this summer. First we tagged along with Mrs. Laura and the kids to the Austin Zoo. The Austin Zoo is more of a rescue habitat for large animals. So, it was really neat to see what all they had and the stories behind how the animals came to live at the zoo.

Beach Bum

Over Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to Rockport to spend some time chillin' at the coast! Lyla loved swimming in the pool and floating in her ladybug float. We also went to the beach in Rockport. Lyla wasn't too sure about the sand and the waves. She was very nervous about the water and didn't want to put her feet down. Lyla got a new splash pool to have for the hot summer months. It arrived in the mail today and so we tried it out. This is Lyla's first time "swimming" with a swimsuit on! She wasn't too sure about the water at first. It was a little chilly but once she got used to it she liked to splash!!

I'm a big girl!

Here are a few new pictures of baby Lyla. She loves riding in her new car seat. For Mother's Day Lyla and TJ got Mommy a new camera. So now Mommy tries her hand at photography!

The Past Two weeks...

Lots of things have happened since the last time I wrote! TJ turned 30 and we had a party at a bowling alley. Lyla had teenage babysitters for the first time with Elizabeth and Baby Ryan. We also had our first official "Block party" on "The Cove". Tomorrow Lyla turns eight months and will ride in her big girl carseat for the first time, backwards of course.
